Reta Wilcox

Reta Wilcox has retired from a long and satisfying career in nonprofit management. For over 25 years Wilcox was an executive staff member for Girl Scouts of the USA. She worked nationwide as a fund raising and management consultant and most recently served as the CEO of a 50,000 member regional Girl Scout Council in suburban Chicago. Her expertise includes strategic planning, grant writing, annual appeals and United Way of
relations and she is the author of a book on annual giving. Wilcox has been honored with Thanks Badges I and II, the highest adult awards in Girl Scouting, and was named a “Woman with Vision” for Community Service by the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois. Reta Wilcox holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the California State University system, and a certificate in Nonprofit Management from Case Western Reserve University. From 1988 through 2009 she was a Certified Fund Raising Executive, a designation earned through extensive specialized training, examination, significant dollars raised in a paid development position, and service to the profession as a member of the Association for Fund Raising Professionals. Reta has lived in Rossmoor since 2006, and is a member of several Rossmoor clubs and a Ruling Elder at nearby Grace Presbyterian Church.
