Wendy Dorband

Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, Wendy has a BA in History from the University of Wisconsin and a MA in Education from the Univeristy of Denver. She is married to F. William Dorband and has resided in Walnut Creek since 1974. Bill and Wendy moved to Rossmoor in 2011. Wendy is known as the “professional volunteer”. She has been President of Diablo Valley Hadassah, on the board of Temple Isaiah, the Contra Costa Jewish Community Center, and the Jewish Federation of the Greater East Bay. She has also served on several PTA’s at local elementary and high schools. Wendy devoted many years to Wardrobe for Opportunity and now is an active member of the Assistance League of Diablo Valley. She is a member of Mutual 68 social committee. Wendy taught middle school in Chinatown in San Francisco and also was “the hostess with the mostess” for many years at Sunrise Bistro in Walnut Creek. She has a son, daughter-in-law and grandson in Pacific Palisades and a daughter, son-in-law and two grandsons in Denver, CO.
