Fritzie Davis Noble, MSW, LCSW, moved to Rossmoor from Los Angeles in 2003 to be closer to family. A mother of two, she completed her Masters in Social Welfare at UCLA in 1972 and launched her 24-year career as a social worker and eventually as C.E.O. of a large non-profit United Way funded organization, El Nido Family Centers. Dedicated to serving disadvantaged children and their families, Davis, in her leadership role at El Nido managed a staff of over 150 who served at 14 sites throughout Los Angeles County. With $8,000,000 in funds raised from governmental and private sources, the organization addressed problems such as teen pregnancy, child abuse, and delinquent behavior with a variety of programs including family counseling, parent education, and case management (linking clients to other needed services). Since moving to Rossmoor she has served on the Boards of several clubs, has enjoyed tennis and more recently golf, and best of all lives close enough to her children and their families to have frequent contact with her four grandchildren. As a Director of the Rossmoor Fund she is delighted to have the opportunity to support efforts to improve the quality of life of residents of her community.
